The thing about abusers is that they are very good at making you feel like you aren’t thinking logically. They gaslight everyone around you. They are charismatic and dangerous.

The show’s editing is probably the weakest aspect of it. There are frequently weird, odd pauses that - for a show where rhythm is as important as it obviously is - kinda sink forward motion at the worst times. This meme definitely points that out.

I love this film so much. On paper it’s completely bonkers, but it somehow just about holds together as probably the only action-adventure-horror-romance-period drama-martial arts-mystery-thriller ever made.
