Yeah, I kinda feel the same way. He made himself unfunny permanently. :/

No, I agree, I’m not really interested in the Oppression Olympics on this.

Among the reports, he and someone else stated that he would ask permission before his masturbated in front of some of the women and to him that meant “it was ok.” Like, WTF? You know you have a problem yet you think that’s the solution?

I think it would be relatively easy to put a sign/plaque in front of the statue explaining what happened. However, you are right, something tells me more pressure might be needed to get that done.

In some ways, I kinda feel Louis CK’s case is worse because he clearly needed therapy yet couldn’t be bothered and subjected his crap onto other female comedians and to a certain extent, us the audience.

I guess we’ll see where it goes from here?

Yeah, I felt bad for the women in his life too—he kept thinking a woman would “save” him when he did not want/could not even ask for help.

One of things that stick out to me, particularly regarding the violence in Game of Thrones, was that the writers seemingly pride themselves on making “bold choices” but at the end of the day, they shirk away from particular violence towards men (i.e. we never see male characters get raped) or other elements like Sansa

Just swinging in here to emphasize this quote:

The original Sleeping Beauty had her waking up after popping out a kid, so in my wild feministy dreams, Sleeping Beauty woke the fuck up to get an abortion. How’s that for a feminist fairy tale?

Doctors do send a lot of reports to your local public health departments so they can act accordingly. However, I kinda wonder if Indiana even has a public health department and even if it did, it probably has bigger concerns.

SAME!

I think part of the problem is that the US historically relied on exploited unpaid labor, so the US as a whole has no incentive whatsoever to make sure their educated (white) female population pops out babies because it’s very much invested in poor (brown) working class. UK is an island of 65 million people and the US

I think what gets me is that like doing basic things like being able to stay in a hospital for 48 hours or actually being there to monitor your baby’s health in the first year can actually save the lives of babies and mothers. But no one gives a shit.

Netflix paid $150 million upfront for two seasons. The production values are incredibly high, like a movie, so basically they paid for 10 movies. That’s $15 million dollars per “movie” which is pretty cheap in the movie world.

While Matt Smith is Dr. Who, I do think for this show, it’s just really embarrassing that they are paying the title character a fraction of what a supporting character would be. Like, you don’t need Matt Smith to play Phillip, but you do need someone convincing to play Elizabeth cuz the show is all about her. You

Thanks! LOL

I know that we as a society are pretty familiar with serial killers etc, but the idea that someone is sexually turned on by decapitating them etc....like I can’t even phantom where that comes from.*

I think part of the problem is that RuPaul is establishing that drag is something only cis men do, hence why it’s so amusing because men aren’t “naturally” femme or whatever. Problem is though gender is performative for everyone and the way that drag does femininity, trans women or cis women don’t necessarily have an

My favorite part of this story is Trump going behind their backs and having Kelly try to force them out.
