Refugees sure. But as far as the focus on the war itself? That is survival instinct. Especially for the Balkans, Finland, Sweden, Poland...

It is a very American-centered approach, too. Actual Europeans are paying close attention to this because it is next door and a lot of them have legitimate fears that they will be next. It will be interesting to see how narratives shift as the Russian government runs out of money to pay its trolls.

War and sex have always played into each other. Always. Thirsting for a brave charismatic leader is absolutely nothing new and I’d argue is pretty deeply ingrained. The only different is that now technology allows us to thirst from across the world.
