Let's just model a damn super-hero on her already, then we can enjoy all kinds of Serena adventures — you know - off the court for a change. Love to see what else she could do.

Thanks. So many books, SO many details. But since you have explored the realm so thoroughly and imaginatively, I will rely on you whenever I have a Potter question.

Yes, trying real hard NOT to picture it in my head; just knowing it happened at all should make us all start paying more attention to the issue.'Cause I don't see it stopping.

Yes. I don't know why that couldn't have happened. I don't recall: in the BOOK did Neville say anything about "being mad about her"? Even mentioned?

Can't stop looking at the pic of Rowling and Williams; they seem to be sincerely enjoying each other's company.

Maybe we subconsciously hook up with someone we perceive will both tolerate us and better us too.

Harry seemed to be attracted to Ginny's fierceness and loyalty. Also, pretty. I can't forget that great scene in the movie where Harry is trying to get the quidditch(?) team settled down and Ginny just belts out "Shut it!" Maybe she reminded him of his mother's bravery.

Simple old sexual attraction maybe? There just seemed to be something about him she couldn't resist. Plus, I get the feeling she's probably a tigress in the bedroom. I like the contrast - she has more than enough brains for both of them.

I always kinda hoped harry would marry Luna Lovegood. Oh well.

It's disturbing that I'm not surprised by this. The level of permissiveness granted kids is nothing short of phenomenal. I've seen so many kids behave with everything from repulsive cruelty to outright indifference about their own obnoxiousness. And, yes, all is forgiven. (last month a gang of 11 or 12 TEN-year -olds

Are they "parachute kids" though. I know nothing about it, nor if that is even a relevant issue. Just curious.

If that is true, the "ripple effect" of all the other potential complications and problems that could accompany this mindset has officially terrified me. Going out for some wine.....

Seriously, what adolescent isn’t lonely. No excuse.

Ah LOTF, my first pre-adolescent literary horror experience. Will never ever forget.

So sorry about your mother. My experience has been nothing like my mom’s (she had it pretty easy), but they say that we share more DNA with our siblings than with either parent, so I went to my sister. Still, there are differences. Also some women just seem to have better coping skills than others (mine, bad).

I've always been pretty lucky with the theatres, but then for a matinee price I'll endure a sticky floor.

Me too! A strict no-Zombies, ever, rule. Also, could never work in a hospital.

I think that it must be true when "they" say that people who make that kind of noise and play their traveling music extra loud are, basically, neighborhood bullies. Just taking their frustrations out on everyone. Evil........

Curious. Makes me think of that awful commercial where the dog keeps "saying" "bacon!" over and over and over...:)

I'm looking in to that. Indeed, all the perfect ingredients.
