The ac condenser is right in front of the engine radiator. When the air conditioner is running, that condenswe gets hot and the air going through it and the radiator gets preheated before the radiator has a chance to shed off any heat, providing far less differential cooling than if the ac condenser is cold.

Never much had a need to entertain myself. I find the open road to be endlesssly entertaining in and of itself. Did 2700 miles in 2 days, eastern PA to Seattle, Washington. Was not bored for a moment of it.

Trust me, wish I could but this car has automatic climate control. Can’t just crank the dial to full red and fan to full blast. The climate control only lets me set the heat up to 85 degrees.

No need, it has an aftermarket electric fan with no shroud, and no auxilliary A/C fan due to a major front end collision it was involved in before I got the car. If I want extra cooling capacity I can just add a shroud and aux fan. No big deal.
