This is one of many random things that were added to the world to make running off the beaten path worthwhile. It’s why I was scratching my head at Giant Bomb’s take that the game was very linear. It’s like they didn’t even try to go looking for cool side-paths, of which there are many.

I remember finding this. I hopped on thinking “this will be cool,” which it was! The first time.

They most certainly have that right.

Most important of all, it’s a reminder to read anything you sign.

Twitch will have to update and go with forced arbitration instead. They have to stay current on how to screw their customers.

“From a practical point of view, which I think is an essential consideration, limiting recovery to $50,000 virtually kills off the odds of a suit against Twitch at all. The agreement doesn’t appear to have an attorney fees clause, and few—if any—lawyers would take on a contingency case against Twitch for some

Varga admitted in court that he hadn’t actually read the contract before first signing it in 2012, nor did he read it when he signed a re-upped version of it two years later.

I can see how you’d get that impression; the title is a little misleading. But it’s the storefront page ownership that’s not being transferred here.

They do have access to the game code. They don’t have access to the STORE codes. Basically instead of transferring over the Steam/Xbox/PS3 listings for the games to Frogwares, Focus is cancelling them and forcing Frogwares to relist all of the games (it also sounds like people may not be able to redownload already

“I’m sorry, but we don’t give things back after we’re legally required to do so.”

This is such a shame because Focus Home Interactive have released some of my favorite games these past years. Downloading Sherlock Holmes Crimes & Punishments right now so I can still access it without a physical copy. Thankfully Devil’s Daughter was published by Bigben Interactive so that is still available.

What

I started with Fl4k, his crit skill seems like a “what were they thinking”, cause it’s just OP. with the obvious downside being multiple targets.

Yes, I wanted to say this in my post about Mario Kart yesterday. The timing is bad. Everything is bad. Abandon all hope.

Hello! I shall answer this! Apple Arcade is a special curated collection of premium games without microtransactions and guff. Games that are not part of Apple Arcade, like Mario Kart Tour here, are free to do whatever they want with their microtransactions.

It’s not the greatest timing to try to charge $5 a month for part of one game right after Apple Arcade launched giving people dozens of full games with no microtransactions for the same price.

As someone who owns a PS4 and not an Xbox, even I'm mad at this.

It’s the exact same fucking bullshit Sony and Activision pulled with Destiny, holding paid-for content hostage from Xbox (and later PC) customers until at least — and Activision was sure to point to that phrase out in the fine print the first time they wielded it — one year after releasing on PlayStation. Fuck, the

This practice is pretty stupid when it’s only a few days or weeks. It’s downright absurd to do it for an entire year. It wouldn’t make me want to buy a PS4 or, if I still had one, to buy the PS4 version. If anything, I wouldn’t buy any version period

Perhaps naively, I assumed arcades in Japan would be awesome since the UK has no more. But they all just reminded me of the last days of UK arcades. And while I like the machine models Japan uses for their cabinets, when seeing them en masse it becomes a tad soulless. I get that it’s to save space/ money but I love my

You exaggerate a little bit, but it’s true UFO catchers and rhythm games occupy most of the space in many arcades. Still, it’d be a shame to lose arcades as it’s, after all, one of the last remaining social spaces out there, for people who don’t drink alcool (and don’t enjoy bars or night clubs).
