The trick is to force yourself to change into your “paint clothes / work on car clothes”.

I notice the newer ones just say something like “Too Fast!” for anything more than about 10 mph over, presumably to prevent the “high score” behavior I just described.
The power levels still aren’t similar. Horsepower is similar, but the V8 trounces the turbo engine in the torque department.
“Turbo Miatas often make around 200 lb-ft of peak torque, which isn’t going to be “way off” what a 238 hp V8 engine produces.”
Adding a turbo is different than swapping a 1.8L and adding a turbo. Also, a turbo on a 1.6L (if you decide no to swap it for the 1.8L) is probably going to get you at or under 200HP for 10psi.
The LS didn’t exist back when this thing was made.
So the stock-V8 swap is bad because complexity, but the I4 swap with an added turbocharger system is good...
Once upon a time, there was no LS3 engine. The earliest V8 conversions used a Ford 302, as this one has.
Maybe they don’t need more horsepower? 👍
On that note, what unit of measure should be used to calculate work undone? Say by breaks, or more relevantly by regenerative breaking?
There is nothing more expensive than a cheap German car.
Under the hood is not the expected 1.8-litre four but a Ford 302, late of a Mustang Cobra.
Could someone smarter than me explain why it’s not possible to build a craft that can fly up to the Kármán Line, and just keep going up until it escapes the Earth’s pull and continues into space?
“Oh, I thought it was really old. It doesn’t have any screens or anything in here. New cars usually have more stuff.”
He said no car has 4ws but the new silverado truck.
I bought a Fiat 500 a year after they came to the states. Literally everything anyone (who wasn’t a cute girl, they loved it) ever said to me about it was offensive.
and the stereo system was painfully loud
Only good that came from it is the place shut down a few months later. I can only imagine why.
“When are you going to buy a new car?” Like it was my duty to get something that looked nice, even though I still had over $60K in student loan debt at the time.
As I pulled around to pick-up my order, we was getting into the back seat of a Kia minivan.
