Must have been pretty sloshed. Even in my most inebriated moments, I don’t remember ever thinking I could outrun a car at full throttle.

Assuming he had been successful in pushing out the car, how did he think he was going to chase down the car in gear with a floored accelerator?

I think an even better answer is the M35. Because 6WD > 4WD

The big difference is if the gears in a racing car are straight cut, which many are because it makes for a stronger transmission. This makes it a lot easier to “split shift”, and it is why most big rig drivers hardly ever use their clutch unless taking off from a stop or stopping at the end of the trip.

The way the gears are cut is why cluthless shifting is easier in a tractor trailer than in a car. Cars use an angled cut to keep things quiet, while trucks use a straight cut because it’s built for work...fuck your comfort.

“You see mom, when we’re getting on the highway, and you’re driving real slow, and the merge isn’t going to go smoothly and I say “floor it” and you say “I am flooring it”, you’re obviously not... because this car is slow, but it’s not that slow”

My friend and I transported a used bedliner home on top of his car. Since it covered the doors and windows, we couldn’t tie it down, because then we couldn’t get in the car. Instead we set it covering the roof and back doors, then pulled it forward through the open windows after getting in the car. The best part was

“Is that the right size screwdriver that you are using as a chisel?”

No way they can climb up there and brush off the trailer.

The is simultaneously super sketchy and super brilliant.

Literally, you get what you pay for.

Much sads.

Total bullshit, it’s not like it’s even unsightly.

Saying “no one wants a fucking plane in their neighborhood” is complete bullshit. That plane is the only thing mildly interesting about that broke-ass collection of split-levels. I grew up down the road from a dude with a much bigger plane in his yard (and much nicer houses in general) and it remains the best

Why are HOAs still a thing???

I generally agree. However, there is another side of this coin. If the seller is ignorant of what is being sold, then the buyer has more leverage to convince the seller that what is being sold is less than what it is.

I didn’t say it was the only thing raising red flags for me. But it does draw suspicion on other statements made by the seller-- which means extra diligence is called for to verify any of the claims made.

On the other hand, it pisses me off to check the “manual” box in an AutoTrader search and find cars with less than three pedals.

Wow, didn’t see those were phone dials. I just assumed they were Fuchs. Good eye.

That engine is the 2.5-litre 150-bhp four (the ad says 2.8 but there was no so such thing)
