Hydrogen definitely does some unquie things sometimes. Being the simplest element, it has some special and strange properties, including acting both like a metal and a non-metal. I’m not surprised there are weird conditions where hydrogen and violate ideal gas laws.

No, gasses cool when they expand. This is why spray cans get cold with use.

Back in high school I had a Ford Ranger for a bit. Being a poor high school student, I was trying to get as much life out of my worn front tires as I could. I figured I’d run them through the summer and get some better tires before winter. They weren’t bald, but the tread was pretty low. On dry summer days, this was

However even with the higher octane and a retune, power gains are going to be minimal.

I think thats as close as any of us will come to driving a car with mechanical breaks, boy they must have been fun.

but with today’s ECU controlled ignition there’s no gains to be had.

In real world tests, full lockup almost always stops shorter than ABS.

Premium(91+) gas as it does not have ethanol like 87.

Clearly there is no other choice than to have a shop big enough to have one of each :)

Stupid question but, can you install these outdoors? Will it be stable enough in high winds if outdoor?

It does depend on how you design the pit. The pit my dad had at his first shop was a full 4 feet wide (perfect size for a plywood cover), but that makes lining up a small car tricky, with little room for error. His second shop he went about 3.5" feet wide and that is a great balance. There is enough space to stand a

Floor pits are not for the dumb.

4-post also has the advantage that one can do alignments with it (assuming the runways are level), since the car is on the wheels.

Perhaps you are accustomed to seeing turbo setups with internal wastegates? These are must more common on less expensive setups.

Perhaps I’d like another whiskey. Yes, that seems more likely.

I’m sure the horn will let the moose know you are there. What they choose to do about that is less predictable. As I’m sure you know, moose aren’t skittish like deer and they don’t run off to the hills at the slightest scare the way deer tend to.

Moose have no natural predators, so they don’t jump at loud noises the way deer do. Blowing the horn is probably just going to get the moose to turn their head to look and see what is making so much noise.

Fun fact: The Edmund Fitzgerald is one of several ships that sunk in water less deep than the ship is long.

I assume there’s some legal reason for doing it that way.
