It fascinates me how often people trade in cars they haven’t even finished paying for yet.

People are getting these extended loan terms because it’s the only way they can get the payments in some sort of affordable range.
What happens with a lot of these, is people don’t maintain and take care of their car. So the car falls apart long before the loan is paid off. These people are stuck with a broken car, negative equity, and a need for transportation to work. So they trade and roll the negative equity into another loan and the pattern…
In my experience, the older EPA ratings were easier to beat in real world driving. If a car was rated 35 mpg highway, it wasn’t too difficult to get 38 mpg out of it, for example. The newer ratings do seem to be a bit less conservative and harder to exceed in my experience.

So what they really mean is they keep their costs down by driving the users’ costs up. So it is “cheaper for airlines to serve the community” because they make more profit from that community.
Other than that, ABC reports that most airport officials were reluctant to explain the charges, except that “doing so helps keep airport costs down, which in turn makes it cheaper for airlines to serve the community.”
The packaging constraints of FWD (with a transverse engine) will always favor McPherson struts, despite the theoretical advantage of double-wishbone. As you pointed out, some manufacturers have found clever ways to make the packaging work (usually by putting the upper wishbone above the tire). The first gen Mazda6…
McPherson struts aren’t inherently bad. They may not be ideal from an engineering standpoint, but the evergreen award winner BMW 3 series seems to manage good grip and steering feel with McStruts.

When the police arrived, they discovered that the man was not armed and took him into custody to be mentally evaluated under the Baker Act. Authorities say this is the fourth time this individual has undergone such an evaluation.
They assume the lowest-skilled driver in the least-capable car and draw the line there.
I understand— many of us have ties that keep us in an area. Good fun roads are becoming harder to find. Those that do have nice twisty corners are often set upon with lower and lower speed limits to accommodate the folks that don’t know how to maneuver a car around a bend.
Have you considered a move to somewhere more enjoyable?
Yes, I forgot about the ST & RS models. Mine was a Mazdaspeed, and for some reason I forget the ST & RS cars are rather like Ford’s answer to the Mazdaspeed cars.
Im still betting that one day there will be a turning point and manual transmissions will be fashionable and once again be offered on many brands, but this time as a luxury upgrade
Does a manual make sense in terms of modern fuel economy and emissions?
All my cars have been manuals except for two.
This means Porsche didn’t flip the whole engine/trans layout around, it just pushed the whole thing forward.
