I think this perspective on Byleth is interesting, since I view the character as the worst protagonist of all the Fire Emblem games I’ve played (...which is most of them). I can’t get over how much I hate Byleth’s silence in the game, and how the narrative acts like Byleth has changed and experienced character

I play most games on normal, and, if anything, I might bump down the difficulty to easy.

They’re trying to conserve their money by paying as little of their taxes as possible.

I remember parents intentionally spreading chicken pox when I was kid, (by having us hang out with kids sick with the pox to encourage the development of immunity to chicken pox at a young age, since it’s much worse to get it when it’s older). This coronavirus pandemic is so much unlike chicken pox that it’s not

I wouldn’t say it looks better than Shin Megami Tensei V (not that there’s a lot of info on that game yet), but I did find the absence of Sakuna puzzling after the fact.

I thought that Catherine was the test game for Persona 5?

A Link to the Past is my favourite Zelda, and I liked A Link Between Worlds a lot...but it’s too similar to Link to the Past, except with uglier visuals (but a better framerate!), and I think the dungeons suffer a bit from the non-linearity. The dungeons generally require only the item needed to enter them, so the

The whole situation is disgusting, and it just keeps getting worse. I miss the days when the Smash Bros. articles were about the community getting mad at people playing as Ice Climbers. I’m not one to watch competitive matches, as it is, but I’m going to try harder to avoid watching these players’ videos online to

With what non-Japanese fans want, I’d say. A lot of remasters and remakes sell extremely poorly in Japan (check out the Switch sales of Tokyo Mirage Sessions for a recent example of how remasters do over there).

You missed an opportunity to call this article “How Paper Mario: Origami King’s Puzzle Battles Unfold.”

Anyway, I like the math stuff and getting experience points in RPGs, so it sounds like this game may not be for me.

I agree about the final disc feeling a bit lackluster. I don’t mind the battle system being straightforward, but I hate how the camera pans around the battle field for a long time at the start of each battle (did Square ever address that in any of the enhanced ports?).

Not the last good one to me (that would be Final Fantasy X, in my view), but definitely the last great one.

Yeah, this post is old, but I’d like to point out that the Couple’s Mask is not the most useless mask in the game: instead, the Circus Leader’s Mask is. The Couple’s Mask can be used to gain a Piece of Heart, but the Circus Leader’s Mask just makes it so that the Gorman brothers don’t attack Link during the milk raid.

Maybe some developers could also cut back on dedicating so many resources to cutting edge visuals? I don’t really care that much about photo realism, and I wish developers would prioritize a good framerate and using a new console’s power for something other than better graphics (like having more characters on screen

In a standard Moderate playthrough, you can sprint around the battlefield, taking potshots and smacking Seraphites with your two-by-four. It’s unwise, but it works. Such reckless tomfoolery isn’t possible on Hard.”

Honestly, the former sounds a lot more fun than the latter to me.

I doubt I’ll have much free time to game when Cold Steel 4 releases, but I’ll be buying it day one, regardless!

I’d rather get a Ritual of the Night sequel, personally, but I doubt we’ll see one any time soon, given that the first game still hasn’t met all of its stretch goals.

The movie is properly rated, in my view. I’ve seen all of Miyazaki’s films, except for his Lupin III adaptation, and Porco Rosso is easily my least favourite.

Huh. I never knew that Disney got the idea for the 1990 show TaleSpin from the 1992 movie Porco Rosso.

Empire Strikes Back, Back to the Future, and Raiders of the Lost Ark are my top three blockbusters of the decade (personally, I don’t care much about merchandise and whatnot). There’s a lot of movies I like on this list, but I wish Big Trouble in Little China was higher.
