I don’t see this ever happening in basketball, where one player, like LeBron, can be so good that the team he’s signed with almost immediately becomes a contender.

Baseball is still around, so I don’t see how it could be considered killed. I’m not sure how free agency made baseball less popular when football had been gaining on baseball for about fifteen years and overtook it in 1972, four years before baseball players could become free agents. You can also point to the great…
I dunno, but I can’t say I feel sorry for the States. The US has had the Williams sisters dominate much of women’s tennis for the past 20 years and had Sampras and Agassi owning the 90s and taking the reins from greats like Connors and McEnroe. Canada, meanwhile, still hasn’t had anybody, male or female, win a single…
Shaming Marvel when they deserve shame seems fine to me.
I guess those specialized left-handed pitchers will have to learn how to get out right-handed batters, sadly.
I don’t care how bad most pitchers are with a bat. The joy I get from seeing a pitcher humiliate another pitcher by hitting a home run is worth the countless strikeouts.
Personally, if everyone has to have a DH, I’d prefer it if they changed the rules so that a designated hitter can only hit for the starting pitcher. That would make starting pitchers who last more innings far more valuable, keep the late-game strategizing and double switches, and there would still be jobs for the few…
Well, I certainly find it a lot easier to understand the negativity people have towards a flawed product than your uncalled for negativity and rudeness towards most of the people who responded to you in this thread.

It’s easier for me to play the Playstation games I actually like (and already own) on my PS3, and I can play them with a proper DualShock controller. I’m not impressed by a device that basically mandates the consumer must commit piracy in order to make it any good.

I think there’s more than one reason why the sequel wasn’t as good. Still, Wayne’s World 2 has a couple of moments I find really funny, even if the movie as a whole is disappointing.
This type of video is much more interesting to me than speedruns (which I generally dislike), although I still couldn’t watch the whole thing (I skipped ahead at times).
Kyrgios hit some amazing shots. It makes me wish he could play like that more consistently to win over some crowds, and then maybe he’d grow up a bit, too.
Nadal’s pettiness at the end seems to be equal parts frustration with himself and annoyance at Kyrgios.
Eh, I hate the Maple Leafs quite a bit, but I think the vitriol against Tavares is silly. Tavares gave the Islanders nine solid years, and then left in free agency, as is his right. His decision isn’t very surprising, considering that the Islanders only made the playoffs three times during his tenure with them. His…
Players can develop better the sooner they can get to the majors, assuming they can handle the pressure of the big leagues, so it’s better for them to come up as soon as possible. For Toronto, their games will be more exciting for their fanbase if Vlad Jr. plays. There’s a bit more to baseball than just competing for…
Personally, I’m kind of happy that the Academy seems to “get it wrong” almost every year. It’s part of their 90+ year tradition. My favourite movies basically have no chance of winning Best Picture, so a lot of the fun comes from seeing people’s post-ceremony outrage over something that doesn’t really matter that much.
I’d have been happier if Bill and Ted won, personally.
No, the world map music does not start over after each random battle in the PS1 version
Personally, I haven’t forgotten that I bought a version of it for the PS3 for $5 (minus the fast forward option).
I’m relieved that they there’s no indication so far that the other houses are DLC. I will be mad if Nintendo pulls off that stunt again.
Because Brian owned someone who tried so hard yet failed to be a weeaboo?
