Counter-argument: our Toyota minivan feels small while driving it, returns 36 mpg and is much easier in parking lots for 3 kids with sliding doors. More efficient, all wheel drive, handles fine, more space. For a gaggle of kids, a minivan is a tool that is difficult to beat.

Not sure where those range numbers came from. My 2015 has 89 miles of range fully charged and another 100 from the Rex if driven gently. I can’t imagine the range extender lost over half it’s fuel tank on the later models. In the US, the fuel tank was 2.5 gallons on my model but limited to 1.9 usable due to...reasons?…
