Counter-argument: our Toyota minivan feels small while driving it, returns 36 mpg and is much easier in parking lots for 3 kids with sliding doors. More efficient, all wheel drive, handles fine, more space. For a gaggle of kids, a minivan is a tool that is difficult to beat.

Not sure where those range numbers came from. My 2015 has 89 miles of range fully charged and another 100 from the Rex if driven gently.
