Why? My heavy duty pickup has a screen smaller then my phone and it only has that because they decided the settings should be built into the stereo. I get safety stuff that should be standard but why should there be any luxury tech in a base model?

This. I bought the last year of the manual ram 2500 and I constantly get calls asking when I want to trade in. The answer is never. Not only do I prefer the manual, but it also gets significantly better fuel economy in that specific vehicle.

So...I really hope google is wrong but it lists the turning radius on the ranger to be within a foot of the outgoing nissan frontier. The frontier is fucking AWFUL. There are super tankers that can make a smaller circle.

Is that really relevant though? My Ram 2500 4x4 with more interior space gets the same fuel economy at 55, isn’t particularly fast..but it will tow 30k...  It was just an odd choice to not do a 4 door ranger and instead, make an oddly chopped explorer that they phased out anyway.

I still dont get why they didnt base it on the F-150 like a majority of broncos over the years. Wider and significantly more space inside. I never needed a truck with my 87. The tailgate had a good weight rating when I needed to carry things 6 feet or longer and had enough passengers that I couldn’t fold the rear…

There are still multiple problems though. Diesel pickups are around double as efficient compared to gas (and can do significantly more work) and electric vehicles, while awesome, are very inconvenient for people that don’t live in a standalone house with their own charging system.

Engine size and AC ability make a huge difference too. I never really thought about it until I had a nissan versa rental on Oahu last week and was constantly putting the windows down to get the hot air out.
