Since it rolls out of the factory as it sits, it should make road legal requirements in Hawaii.  If I wanted to drive an extra...ohh probably 5 miles, I could really make proper use of that thing going to work each day...I’m sure I’d only do it a couple times but damn, what a ride it would be.  I really do wonder what

While I am afraid you are right, I truly hope this legendary shitshow that we have endured for 4 years will drive anyone with even half a moral or ethical bone in their body out to vote just to attempt to unfuck this.  A guy can dream right?

Neutral: I currently have a lease and it expires in October. I never had any intention of returning it and I keep hoping for a good rate but I haven’t seen anything so far.  We will probably end up buying it outright but if I can find anything less then 1.5%, I’ll finance it.

I read the title and thought this was going to be about how the first release of these consoles tend to have all sorts of issues and we should wait till they work out the kinks...

On the flip side of the first question, are there any deals going on since they don’t seem to want them back?

I suppose I should clarify. With the controller input, the brake (left trigger) becomes the reverse gear throttle once the vehicle is completely stopped. Basically an automatic reverse that doesn’t involve hitting the transmission buttons, which can be handy for “rocking” the vehicle when stuck. This only works in

This. Where I live, electricity costs between 37 and 45 cents per kwh. A VW TDI getting 40 mpg is cheaper to drive, even when diesel is at$5.00 a gallon. Diesel is under $3.00 a gallon right now and my ram 2500 is cheaper to run because electricity costs don’t go down.

Fair enough on the AWD. I knew i was nitpicking a bit there.

Yes, you are correct. All things being equal and the bicycle being in a place where they are legally allowed to ride on the road with cars, yes, the cars should treat them as equals.

I’ve taken a slightly different approach and essentially segmented my island. There is the main area with the museum and nook plaza. Then up north is a single bridge that crosses a river and leads to all the annoying villager’s houses, like a suburb. No trees or anything. Just houses stacked as close as I can get

I gotta say, I gave this about an hour and was disappointed. That starter chevy pickup acts like it is on ice...on everything including pavement. Maybe it is running on bald tires? The inputs seem excessively delayed (which is fine for throttle, especially in that old GMC, but not for steering). Maybe it plays better

If a pedestrian steps out from a relatively blind area for the driver or a darkened area at night...the driver may not be able to stop.  This is not victim blaming.  An accident CAN be the pedestrian’s fault, it is just not nearly as likely, obviously.

Funner fact: Only when they follow the laws like other road vehicles. No riding in crosswalks or on sidewalks or in the road when there is a designated bike lane. If you want to be a vehicle, you have to follow vehicle rules. Laws vary by state regarding where they can and must ride but running stop signs and stop

I wonder if this is going to be smarter then the Skydio, which will automatically follow you around and is guaranteed to not hit anything. Going back and forth on the two.

Is depreciation really a cost though to be simply added on like that though since it is situational?

True, but that thing is more aerodynamic then the nose of the truck.  It was mentioned that it has a lift and terrible highway tires as well.  I guess when you add it all together...

Yeah, that’s a fair point. I had a lift and set of offroad tires on an F350 and it got about 18 on the highway. Since the cummins (especially with the manual) already gets pretty significant mileage increases over the ford and chevy, I’d still be curious to see how it handles a camper like that.

Wow...I wonder how much this would adversely affect the fuel economy on my ram 2500. I get about 24 on flat highway at 60 and 3000lbs worth of concrete in the bed makes almost no difference until I start going up hills. I cant imagine it dropping 60%-ish with a camper.

Yeah I totally get that. I got hit with a doc fee after a verbal agreement on a price over the phone. I actually flew to another island to pick this car up and had arranged all shipping and financing and was basically a captive audience. It was only $100 but it still annoyed me. I made over 12k flipping the car

This. My wife has an SUV that is neither sporty, nor very utility oriented. It is too small, hard to see out of, has no ground clearance, and I cant even fit in it if the car seats are in the back... We should have purchased a minivan...but she chose her car.
