“Yet, as reports show that more Americans are riding than ever before, and that the percentage of female riders is way up, maybe there is light for Harley at the end of this tunnel after all.”

I thought the current gen was available as a 2 door with a diesel and a manual with a stripped out interior in japan. Basically the bronco I have always wanted.
Sure, as long as it doesn’t end up on the road as a rolling hazard...which it will.
While I love a good engine swap and almost any kind of crazy modifications (except stance), this is worthless. This is putting a moped engine in a heavy duty pickup. Asking that anemic and sorely underpowered engine to move even the car it was designed for is borderline cruelty. Make it interesting! Make it fun! …
While it may be illegal on paper, if it isn’t enforced enough to matter... The same goes for turn signals and various other things. In Hawaii, people actively drive in the left lane whenever possible because these are the worst drivers anywhere in the country. Also, no turn signals, also speeding up to ludicrous speed…
I have babies. This is completely true.
On a normal car sure, but this was on a 40 year old military truck with down-geared portal axles already. The cruise was 45 mph with a never exceed of 60. Assuming a 50% loss, that’s a loooooong time to get anywhere.
So, I always thought mattracks were cool and wanted a set for my old military truck. Street legal treads, what’s not to like right? (except the high prices) Until I built a set out of lego and realized there is no reasonable way to get the same size drive gear as your factory wheels/tires so you are essentially…
Hipster disaster? Are hipsters really drinking PBR? When I read this, I immediately thought it was the second most redneck thing I had seen this year, behind mcdonalds at 1600 trailer park avenue.
I’m assuming the 2.0 in the Miata is NOT FCA sourced. Seems like that should be the only question. FCA build quality and all that.
Depending on which department you work for, it still involves paperwork akin to joining the military. This includes raising your hand and swearing to support and defend the constitution and yada yada. It is not quite as restrictive as the military but speaking out publicly while identifying yourself as a federal…
Thank you. Vehicles with “limited” also drive me nuts. ALL vehicles are limited. The company will also make as many “limited” models as people will order. Technically correct but an incredibly stupid model trim since EVERYTHING is limited as there is not an unlimited number of anything (except maybe stupidity).
So sad. I bought my 18 with the base trim, 4x4, diesel and manual transmission. Didnt realize it would be the last year. Hell, I spec’ed mine on the 2017 builder and have the ram boxes which may just make my truck a unicorn as the boxes aren’t an option on the base model anymore.
I like the old scooter styling but this has the same problem as my dad’s old harley. It is a danger to itself and everyone else on the road. Zero go and zero stop and likely fairly unstable with that side car at any speed other than rolling road hazard.
Totally different rules now regarding mopeds and scooters. 49cc max and if they can exceed 35mph, they have to be licensed as a motorcycle. At least in Hawaii, that vespa with the sidecar would require full license and a plate and safety and everything my ducati needs.
This is why my duc has a sticker on the frame saying it passes sound and emissions checks in all 50 states. It is right on the edge of some laws (and a bit too loud in my opinion) but it is legal. I’ve considered looking into a more quiet setup then stock, just because I think it is excessive for a factory pipe.
You think the EPA is purposely misinforming the public on a single brand in order to avoid public backlash....for 1mpg?
So EPA estimates are the standard...and my vehicle hits pretty close to its EPA estimate but I can’t compare it to another vehicle’s EPA estimate?
Why not? Why cant you compare real world and EPA? I kinda thought that was the point. Hell, I get 23+ out of my 2500 Ram. Pretty sure it is a legit question to wonder why the fuel economy is even estimated as being that low.
Can we fine-tune what it tells us? “4 right over crest, then 3.”
