2nd Gear Start

A coworker and I carpool. We swap each day. He drives a base model 2008 F-150. He is convinced he is a GREAT driver. He is angry, dangerous, and does not know the limits of his vehicle. His truck barely makes 45 going up the hill to work. On the way down, it’s 80+. Passing in no passing zones. Constant road rage at

Try some fucking QUALITY CONTROL then. Jesus Christ. The panel gaps on my RAM are insane. Seriously, the Ramboxes have nearly an inch difference on the gap between the front and back of the bed. The light that indicates the AC being on is sometimes right...It’s been in the shop

If the vehicle can choose a gear/ratio without my intervention, it’s an automatic.

Automatic weapons?

A diesel pickup is reasonable 20-40 in 4th. Lots of torque though and no spin.

I loved driving my old bronco.  I drove it daily for years.  Loud, rough ride, but fairly comfortable and ran fine.  It needed fuel injection but if I hadn’t gotten married and had kids, I’d be over 100k miles put on it.

Arent those the ones with the mitsubishi motors that looked like they were rolling coal by 40k miles? It has to burn more oil then gas by 254k miles.

I used to have the neighbor kids cutting the corner of my yard and spraying rocks everywhere.  I made a lovely lava rock wall about 2 feet high.  Pain in the ass but it fixed the problem.

This is just a few typical dealership experiences in Hawaii but it may rank as being odd for most people.

No 2500/250 pickups again huh? Why are they always left off these lists?

I get within 1 mpg of that in my diesel ram. Solution without a problem or simply a lower entry cost?

Touch screen controls for xbox one games.  Cant wait to play Halo with a touch screen.  Touchscreens are truly the best option for twitch style games.  Can I get a touch screen to replace the steering wheel in my car too?

Depends on the crossover though. My wife has one and I hate it. Tiny, cramped little thing with high belt lines, low seating position, terrible visibility, and a console that makes it feel claustrophobic. My parents 82 corvette had more space for the driver.

If he drove around with his high beams on...yeah that’s inconveniencing others.  That makes him an asshole.  Do whatever you want, as long as it doesn’t negatively effect others.

F these little bastards.  They poop on EVERYTHING!  I’ve been tempted to burn my house down a few times because of the damn geckos.  They are a plague in some parts of Hawaii.

Yup, I had the pro-4x.  Very capable.  Just drove me nuts that my 80s full size pickup could easily turn around on a 2 lane road and nissan needed 3 point to do the same thing.  Parking lots here in Hawaii were a pain in the ass because they are all small and really stupidly designed.

“Because Texas.” That is exactly the problem right there. I’m sure he paid more because of the indoctrinated religious mindset that is texas. I’ve never found a group of people I disliked more.

Hey hey hey, can we make a distinction between a real SUV (body on frame truck like an old bronco) and a crossover (unibody, no ground clearance, useless off road).  I loved my old bronco...although I suppose that could just be tossed into the truck segment to simplify.

I bought a nissan frontier and it just wasn’t quite enough for what I needed.  The one thing that really stands out though, is that it turned like a frigging oceanliner.  It was awful.  My old bronco, that was basically a shortened f150, could literally turn around inside the turning circle of that mid sized nissan.
