I'm not OFFENDED by everything that isn't a mirror of myself. I'm offended that there are almost no mirrors of myself. I'm offended by gay jokes on shows that don't have any queer characters. I'm offended by things that make me out to be less than a complete person.

Uh, no, because there aren't any shows where everyone in it is gay except for dramas like "The L Word" and "Queer as Folk". Meanwhile, if you want sci-fi, procedurals, fantasy, or pretty much anything else, there are little to no queer characters.

it doesn't to me, really, since it hasn't had any impact on the homophobic nature of the show, in my opinion.

As a lesbian, I find the constant queerbaiting of BBC's Sherlock to be grating and insulting. Certainly, the first "are they on a date? no, of course not!" joke was fine. But then they did it again. And again. And John constantly has to insist on his sexuality. And gets ignored again and again. It's not funny, it's
