That’s exactly the word I’ve used to describe him. That shot of him in the NLDS fumbling his gum, quickly catching it before it hit the ground, then pointing and smiling at the camera was great stuff. Baseball needs more guys like him.

Everything has gone right for Theo. The lone survivor from the Hendry era looked like a bust a few years ago, destined for the scrapheap of Cub prospects. He didn’t even have any trade value after the disastrous 41% K rate in 2014.

Heyward will turn it around next year, but that belongs in a dumpster fire until 2017.
