The show has just had enough time to introduce some of the main characters and dynamics of the show, and haven't been able to delve into the side stories of the cannon fodder.…

@MavrixWK: I disagree. If people know the cause they are going to want a cure and then the show turns into that. They already blew it in the first episode where Morgan explained bites will kill you. The comic played up the fact that they didn't know what bites did or if naturally deceased people will return.
