Not sure where you at but in the united states a decent shape (running and driving) 78-82 corvette for 5500 bucks is nothing abnormal, just gotta filter all the "testing waters" types

Yeah my reaction was pretty much pacmandeathnoise.wav.

I’ve owned enough newer VW’s to confidently state, I will never own another out of warranty VW, excluding pre-1973. They’ve all been fine up until they weren’t, then things tended to get expensive quickly.

“It’s a revolution. It’s really a total digital environment...

In fact, aren’t they the ideal candidate for car sharing.... zero chance of getting stuck with a lemon

Pepperidge Farms remembers tocus RS was a really good example the stupidity of sellers and buyers. The idiots paid the 5-10k markups, then prices quickly collapsed to below MSRP, then to below invoice due to the headgasket problems.

Yeah, unless OP has kids or something, they shouldn’t even bother buying a car. It’s a waste of money at that usage rate.

You would have a tough time selling this anywhere near me, in northern california. It would be about $2000 in this condition.

Exactly. What are they supposed to do? Fireman carry the corpse out of there right away? Close the station and subway line until the proper authorities arrive? They cordoned off the area and hid the carcass as best they could until the cadaver movers could take care of the situation. It seems that snowflakes are

Is this a joke? You can get these shitbuckets for next to nothing.

For this price youre better off with a 78-82 corvette, any part you might imagine is available and the chevy 350 is way easier and cheaper to wake up. Most all of them were weekend cars so they have lower miles and are on average in way better shape!

Yeah, 356B’s weren’t *that* cheap back then. This was still probably $15-25k car in 1990s dollars.

I had a friend bought a brand-new Sterling.  Two years later?  No parts, no service center.  He had to mail off for maintenance bits.

They’re pretty bright, but still. I was very conscious of it when I had my Chevy Cruze.

I don’t understand that reverse lights thing GM does. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the reverse lights actually be useful when the car is parked.

What’s even more annoying is that modern GM cars use the reverse lights as perimeter lighting when you lock and unlock them. So then, in a crowded parking lot, someone’s Chevy Silverado will look like it’s leaving a parking spot...but it isn’t.

I could help you make a decision. My going rate for consulting is $2,495.00 per hour. HMU.

“How much do you wanna pay? Hrm, hrm!” My thoughts exactly.
