Or better yet, don’t buy any of them, because they are tacky, “look at me I’m rich”, poseur cars across the board. They do nothing better than an S-Class other than scream how wealthy you are. And frankly, that is about all an S-Class really does better than an E-Class, which is why the old money all drive E-Class

I thought the same thing. Save your ‘it belongs in a museum’ pitch for Hemmings. This is Craigslist, FFS.

Look closely at it. The bottom part of the stand has the same angle as the bottom of the frame. It rotates to provide that classic triangle stability. It’s a smaller triangle, but I think if they do a version 2 it’ll be be a bit longer. It’s a nicely elegant and practical design if you ask me.

I love the side profile.

I wonder how much R&D money goes into making V8s sound cool versus how much goes into trying to make a turbo 4 sound cool.

Back in the late 80's I would go to Cayuga Dragway on a regular basis for holiday long weekends. There was a GNX there running low 12's, I talked to the owner, he had driven the car there, pulled the slicks out of the trunk and raced. He said it had a performance PROM chip and could open the exhaust, some form of

The GNX was the ultimate development of the turbo Buick, and most of these were socked away by collectors. Oh and the official horsepower rating was wildly understated.

I’ve been hit by snowballs that could break a window.  I don’t know the consistency of that snow, but if it’s wet, it could be a chunk of ice.

When you’re driving along and somebody throws a snowball at your car, you don’t necessarily know that it is a snowball, or that there’s not a rock in the middle of that snowball. And an object coming at a car from an unexpected direction could also startle a driver and cause a mishap.

So you’ll have the AWD variants of cars.. which will make less hp on paper.. but also be both heavier and have a faster 0-60 time.

It’s very simple.

This is a horrible idea. There’s no consistent way of determining WHP because power needs to go through transmissions to get to the wheels. So you’ll never get an apples-to-apple comparison because not every transmission has a 1:1 ratio.

Or it really doesn’t matter to anyone but fanboys.

“GM paid back the loans in full.”

You’re absolutely right, and that’s why it was called a bailout. That response from GM was sad. It could have been reduced to “We met all our fiduciary requirements” which completely misses the point.

I don’t think that’s an issue, especially as there’s going to be a gradual phasing in of the agreement over several . The tariffs are only 10% anyway and are less than exchange fluctuations. I’m guessing it’s more to do with the demand, or lack of it, for the X-Trail.

Misleading? Ha! It never ceases to amaze me how quickly a borrower forgets how generous loans can be. When you’re on the rocks, no one wants to loan you money. I mean, it’s a business transaction, right? And I’m sure (not really) the interest rates were appropriate (ahem, probably not). The unions were simultaneously

If ANYONE thinks that a corporation will EVER act in the best interests of their community of people, they are unbelievably naive.
