They replaced the squeaky bushings, and then literally the entire front suspension with new parts, and it still made the knock. Their chassis ears picked it up, they felt it, I took it to an independent mechanic for his opinion, he was able to feel it on the strut towers.
I had a 2012 CPO GT. People who buy these need to watch out for movement or other issues in the front end. My dealership identified the noise and movement on their chassis mics that I can’t remember the name of, but we’re unable to locate the source. Ford engineers were contacted, and informed my dealer that this…
Actually, they were the first ones I liked the look of since before the Mustang II.
I keep telling people, it wasn’t the unions that fucked BL it was the management. The unions may not have helped, but it was poor management policies and attitude that led to getting into problems with the unions to start with. They adopted stances that led to increased grievances from the shop floor which empowered…
They’re well built, reliability can vary (some are very reliable, those with the early BMW/Mini sourced engine not as much). Dealerships will be key here. And an Americanized lineup obviously.
Yeah the bed height and especially the sidewalls are stupid high.
Where in BC are you located?
Trunk chains in winter: A prudent driver
Ah yes I’d keep snow chains in the trunk as well, to hang myself with from the nearest tree for not buying proper winter tires.
Can confirm. In-laws have a 1/10th long, very steep driveway and in anything over 3" of snow, there’s not enough of a flat run to get going fast enough to overcome the gravitational forces without all 4 wheels spinning. Going backward is a different story.
Yeah, someone mentioned that. I will have to give it a shot next time I am stuck
Correct! It was indeed last year
I was running General Gmax’s as my winters. We mostly get rain here, so they are pretty good.
I know the feeling....wish I didn’t. Those Potenza re050's certainly aren’t good tires for the snow, let alone the cold.
good to know!
Next time try going up backwards! Doesn’t work every time, but it makes a big difference with FWD.
Shoulda woulda coulda. It never really snows here, this was a freak occurrence. It isn’t my DD anymore either.
Just get some winter tires.
Is anybody else annoyed at the large body panel gaps in an otherwise great looking 911? Sorry, just annoying as hell when I see such shoddy workmanship that should be A++
