The Bane ghost was an illusion. Wasn’t actually him. The Momin one really surprised me, seems to contradict the Clone Wars.

I hope that this ends up being more like the horcruxes in Harry Potter. Not something that pulls him through time, or allows him to resurrect, but more something that allows him to possess someone or manifest himself in another way.

Because of the way the Story Group operates, it’s possible some of the setup suggested above was developed after IX had been worked out so that it had something to build on, in which case would it count as ‘non-movie canon’ just because it was released outside the movies first?

I’m certainly not saying that they won’t resurrect Palpatine using something from above, but it would be pretty wild to see some of the non-movie canon come into play so heavily in the finale to the Skywalker saga.
