I feel like I’ve been reading about Cameron’s “BATTLE ANGEL ALITA” since the 90s on Ain’t It Cool News. That’s why it was so weird to see an actual trailer for it, and to now have an actual review of it (which I’ve skimmed just enough to see it’s disappointing).

I’ve literally stopped paying attention to the “OMFG, discounted flights*” due to all of the restrictions and limitations.  I don’t care if a flight is only $59 if it’s from Boise, Idaho to Moosejaw, Saskatchewan on Wed, May 22nd at 11pm, and returning Tues, June 18th.  Paying $60/year, being able to only fly on 1/3rd…

Its odd because DC do lots of animated movies all the time, this year has already seen ‘Reign of the Supermen’ and ‘the Fatal Five’ and ‘Hush’ are due out this year I think

If DC is only cranking out a Batman Beyond movie as an ‘answer’ to Marvel’s “Into the Spiderverse”, I don’t have a lot of faith in the project. That’s being said as someone who really enjoyed Batman Beyond.

The other day Mrs Steerpike and I were watching Spider-Man Homecoming and when talking about how great Keaton was she mentioned how good it would be having him play an older Bruce Wayne in a Beyond movie... 

I’m sorry, but Batffleck was the right choice in the wrong movie. Nobody can seriously watch The Town and think Affleck can’t do a serious detective movie. If BvSuperbro had been half decent I’d be watching the Batman movie of my childhood dreams: Daredevil but good. So good on Reeves, but unless he gets Joseph…

It’s kinda sad that Ben Affleck won’t be Batman anymore. He wasn’t in the role very long, but what we saw of him was decent, even if the material wasn’t. I feel for the guy. And I’ll honestly miss him as Batman.

Just soft reboot it. Skip Flashpoint. Nobody cares about the past movies besides WW and Aquaman.

Well, I hope they do a younger Bruce for The Batman, but keep Ben for older bats.  He was a good batman, just bad scripts.

When we were kids on our twice-annual drives down the coast for family trips, the South of the Border billboards were one of the few highlights of an otherwise joyless stretch of highway.

You are wrong, ma’am. OBJECTIVELY WRONG! These billboards are a wonderful cultural icon of I-95, and should be respected as much.
