The stores are largely still mom and pop in those two blocks, hence the old buildings and store fronts. But Newark is much improved since the early 2000s. There is nowhere near that much filth on a regular basis. That area is sandwiched between the Devils hockey team arena, a Bank of America headquarters, 3 major

So, turns out it’s not as bad as all that. There’s even a guy sweeping the street in one of these pictures:

Yeah, I was wondering if the buildings/billboards/graffiti had already been ‘scuffed up’ for the movie or if it’s all normally that craptastic. I kinda think that’s probably the normal state of affairs, but sheesh.

Maybe, like the 1990s Batman cartoon, it’s not meant to be any specific time.

Yeah, I think it might be literally impossible to identify every malaise-era car.

It’s bad.

And also very good.

Every time someone complains about today’s cars all looking the same or being mostly boring and blah, I laughingly remember the 80's...

The amazing part of this isn’t the cars, but how much 2018 Newark passes so easily for mid 80s filthy Gotham...

“Okay, this is either going to be a new Animal Crossing, or another Smash character.”

As it deserves to be.

I suppose it works fine, but leaving the “U” in NSMB seems like an odd choice as it’s moving to a new console.

I’m no expert, but that looks like the Villager’s moveset too?

No, but this is the longest gap between releases and people were getting antsy waiting for it, especially since it skipped a whole console

That bait and switch..... My god....

KING K.ROOL IS IN SMA- Wait no he’s not— YES HE IS!

I was going to say that board game mode returning to Mario Party was the best part of the direct. Then Yoshi Crafted World was shown. I thought that would be my highlight (I love Yoshi). But the tease with Smash proceeding to an Animal Crossing teaser was definitely my highlight.

That was some master level of trolling they did. My heart sunk, tried to remain positive, broke and then it’s finally here!

I addressed that in the article.

As someone else said, HR serves the interests of the company. From the sounds of it, one of the most egregious offenders was one of the people in charge of things, so HR may have acted against the interests of the employee. While filing an employment lawsuit might have been the right thing to do, it can be a path

There’s a few reasons why not, but expense is only part of it.
