Google Maps has the same traffic information and data (Google owns Waze and integrates their data into the Google Maps traffic algorithm). The only difference is that is does not have the police notifications in Waze.

But Waze is owned by Google now and integrated into the Google Maps infrastructure. Google Maps takes Waze accident alerts into account when giving directions and making time estimates. You can even see accidents from Waze on Google Maps.
