Although the 2nd song would left something to be desired, Oasis, always opened their albums in grandiose fashion.  After that it may have been all downhill, but "Rock 'n' Roll Star", "Hello", "D'you Know What I Mean?", "Fuckin' In the Bushes"?  Those are how you open an album.
