They suck up your precious battery juice. I had a cassette tape player I had to feed as well.

I don’t think I ever held a game gear. I wanted one really bad until the Nomad came out.

A “AA” battery supply was also necessary. The car adapter helped, but without batteries, the driver had a degree of control over you.

Back in my day we didn’t have fancy backlights on our mobile games. When we played games in the car at night we’d be forced to play by passing street lights and tailgaters headlights, and we were happy dammit.
