My grandma used to do that. She would take an egg and pray while making sings of the cross all over me. Then place the cracked egg in water overnight. I still recovered from my sickness in whatever time it took that particular disease to go away, but it was nice.

I have a very similar story, with a totally legit scientific explanation. but it was very creepy at the time.

THIS is why we can't have nice things. Abortion is, unfortunately, illegal in Mexico. Women of reproductive age who go to the hospital with suspected abortion get a toxicology test, and if misoprostol is detected, they go to jail.
