That always struck me as kind of dickish.
That always struck me as kind of dickish.
Thank you so much for saying that. When I was a teenager I appreciated Tara a lot because I was a shy introvert with self-esteem issues. I know that a lot people appreciated Tara for representing gay issues and of course that was and is a very important social issue. But I personally appreciated Tara for flying the…
I'm pretending that Buffy ended in Season Five so yes?
Exactly. The Brits were too busy making sure a Catholic didn't end up on the throne to worry about been racist.
I lost it at "Daddy". And again with the cross at the end. Logan is the very rare superhero film that has genuine pathos.
News just in, an unidentified man wearing what appear to be metal claws has been sighted on top of the statue. He has mutton chops style facial hair and he appears to bellowing at an excessive volume.
Yeah, the fact that Tara's death was the final setup for Dark Willow made it hurt even worse. The Dark Williow episodes were rushed rubbish and Willow never recovered as a character from that storyline. It was all just one big pile of suck.
I still consider Tara'a death to be my personal shark jumping moment on Buffy. It was just too mean and the show kind of sucked at that point anyhow. But I perversely liked the fact that he dated Amber Benson for years after killing her off Buffy. It turns out that TV and reality actually are two separate things. Who…
Warren and the geeks seems positively prophetic when you consider Gamergate and all of the toxic alt-right shite that has shown up in last few years. Beware the geeks.
Sasha may as well have said "I'm heading over to Star Trek soon so what the hell. Sign me up for your suicide pact of a plan".
Was I the only one freaked out about seeing about a goddamn sword been casually tossed to/at someone? People, that thing is not a football.
Batman's a Catholic priest? That explains so much.
It's great to see that The A.V. Club are continuing to cover the show although it is rather odd that they skipped the season two premiere. Any chance that we will get a review of it at some stage?
The thing about Anderson is that he does not direct good films but he does direct good action scenes. His action beats are clearly and cleanly filmed and edited so that you can actually understand what is happening. I know that that fact should not stand out but sadly it does.
On a more positive note, congratulations to former Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. guest star Ruth Negga on been Oscar nominated for her work in "Loving". It makes me wonder which former or current AOS actors could achieve that level of success in the future.
On an utterly shallow note I really hope that Eleanor and Tahani hook up next season. Eleanor finally acknowledging that she may actually have a real crush on Tahani was also a very nicely paid off running gag. Plus you know, it's kind of hot too.
For the sake of the altar boys I really hope that he does not.
I liked it but it was also disappointing. I went in expecting to see a spiritual sequel to Kiss Kiss Bang Bang but I found that it wasn't as smart or as funny at all. But Gosling is a comic genuis and the daughter actress was very good. But the mystery wasn't all that interesting in the end.
But on the upside Peaky Blinders fans won't have to endure her Irish accent. I imagine that it took an impressive level of restraint for Cillian Murphy not to laugh in her face on that set.
Here is a weird fact about Lautner's recent career. He went over to England to take over the lead role in a BBC sitcom called Cuckoo as a naive American who is transplanted into an English family. The first season cast Andy Samberg as the token Yank but then Samberg bailed on the show to star in Brooklyn Nine Nine and…
