That sounded very noble until I remembered that Romeo and Juliet were naked in the Zeffirelli film.

I enjoyed the film but the girls were problematic. They were intelligent, emotionally articulate and generally seemed to have their acts together. So why exactly were they interested in these emotionally stunted idiots who perpetually screwed things up and who could hardly manage to remove their foots from their…
"Knee deep in clunge".
Yeah but after watching four seasons of Breaking Bad you should know that Cranston lies constantly.
I remember been really impressed with Eccleston's acting in this. He did a bang up job of portraying a nerdy regular guy who became a terrifying nutjob. Plus McGregor had a nice arc in this film. His character progressed from repugnant asshole to sympathetic guy who was less depraved then his alleged "friends".

My favourite moment in the film is the closing kiss between Silverstone and Rudd scored to 80's new wave tune "Tenderness" by General Public. There was real chemistry between the actors and that tune helped to turn it into a great pop cinema moment.
I rewatched Clueless last week on TV and I was painfully aware of what happened to Brittany Murphy while I was watching her scenes. She was so young and talented as an adorable dork in this film. Her death added a depressing subtext about wasted youth and potential which did cut against the shallow pleasures of the…
That's a good summation of Harmony. She is a Cordelia doppelganger in a lot of ways. But Cordelia was funnier than Harmony because she was intelligent and she had a biting wit. Harmony did not do intelligence or wit.
All I can remember is that she had zero chemistry with her will they or won't they love interest. In fact he came across as a gay Andy Dick.
So in one film she wanted to fuck her son and in another she wanted to fuck a duck. Hollywood in the eighties was truly a different time and place.
The thinness of the film reviews is a blatant problem when you contrast them with the television reviews. A single episode of a mediocre television show such as 2 Broke Girls will get a higher word count and more in depth analysis than a major Hollywood film (or a major arthouse film for that matter). It is a glaring…
"Wahlberg is always better as a character actor than an action star".
Plus Castle has that deeply inappropriate chemistry with his daughter, that probably has got him though barren patches.
My impression of The Practice was that the twist ending of every second episode was that the noble defence lawyer would be shocked to discover that his scumbag client was in fact guilty all along of the crime of which they were accused. And than the lawyers would be depressed by the realities of defending guilty…
Gunn in his Gangsta'a Paradise.
After watching Season One of "The Wire" I caught a rerun of "Double Or Nothing" and the contrast was toe-curlingly hilarious. The flashback of a "Gangsta" Gunn stalking the mean streets of LA while wearing a do-rag has to be one of the worst scenes on this or any other show. Portraying…
Tara coming into her own was my personal highlight of this season. She's one of the few people on this show that I would want to hang out with in reality. The majority of Buffy's characters became shriveled and unlikable versions of themselves by this point so Tara can't but seem more appealing.
This episode was Tara's highpoint.
I always liked the character but she was mostly underwritten and under serviced by the writers until Season 6. So it was a real thrill to see Amber Benson rising to the occasion and knocking it out of the park with "Under Your Spell". Her duet with Anthony Head was also heartbreaking…
Maybe that was intentional. Even when he's kicking ass Chuck is still a goofball. I like the idea that even a superagent Chuck will still be the same dorky dude he always has been.
