I consider the campaigns of 2 and 3 as one campaign, as they were meant to be one game, or at least most of Halo 3 was supposed to be in Halo 2. If you read the books, you’ll most likely like Reach less. The Flood states that the Pillar of Autumn isn’t designed for atmospheric flight, and the ship is never on Reach in any of the books; the only atmosphere it touches iis Halo’s.
