1. I didn’t know that there was a second officer there until I saw this video

A lot of far-right and fairly militant groups are giving “guest lectures” to police. A number of rabid anti-Muslim groups have been doing it too. I don’t understand why it’s legal for these fringe groups to do that, but their influence is deep.

Some recent “training” Yanez had:

It’s clear that juries are willing to hold citizens to a higher standard of behavior than cops, who actually (presumably?) have training. That is absolute bullshit.

And the assholes over at the Minneapolis papers are basically already saying “Well, see, he deserved to get shot.” “Cops have such a hard job, he did the right thing.” “What’s the big deal, it’s not gonna bring Philando back? Stop covering this story.”

My company, headquartered in San Francisco, always has a large float and parade contingent in the SF Pride parade (400+ people). Because it’s a big sponsor, it’s one of the groups in the front of the parade, which I know pisses off smaller groups and individuals in the parade. I understand why it upsets people, but my

What the hell.

I have walked past someone that told me the same thing with my pup, and I just said okay and didn’t take it to heart. I am protective of my dog too, so I completely understand anyone that doesn’t want their dog greeting every other dog. Don’t worry what anyone things. Take care of your dog.

“He was a human being with whom you disagreed. Thus, he deserved to die, or at least, you are happy he died. That is EXACTLY what is wrong today. You must be a wonderful member of a political party.”

Well... “deserved” is subjective, but he certainly earned his death, by angering a deadly animal, and then stabbing it with swords.

This isn’t a matter of disagreement. One disagrees with opinions. Abuse of people and animals is not an opinion, it’s an abhorrent act that anyone possessing basic human decency would and should reject. What is wrong today is people like you, who view acts of cruelty to be of the same weight as acts of kindness,

“with whom you disagreed” That’s an impressive stretch you’ve made there. People can justify doing anything they want now and if it’s deemed disgusting and immoral you can distill it down to “well it’s just a difference of opinion”. Good lord.

He didn’t deserve to die because he disagreed with me or anyone else. He actually died because he tried to torture a large, strong animal. Do you disagree?

If we argue about a particular topic every week for a decade, and I argue in favor of X, and X is shown every single week for a decade to be based on false data and assumptions, then when I once again introduce X as valid next week, I am not being civil, and do not deserve a civil response.

In theory I agree with this. But I don’t trust NBC and Megyn Kelly to make him look like the idiot piece of crap he is. She’s not that good.

If she was doing an expose’ kind of thing, refuting all the crazy and maybe delving into the whole “alternative facts”\conspiracy subject and a brief chitchat with Jones was part of that....ok, fine. That could actually be, like, journalism.

This was my first thought. He’s already famous enough, hopefully she will grill the everloving fuck out of him. But I kind of doubt it. This is in line with the current “journalists must cover all ‘sides’ of the issue” rather than telling the goddamn truth. And that’s why Captain Shitbag is now the president.

She won’t make him look like an idiot. Everyone needs a voice now. Even unhinged Nazis. You don’t want to risk alienating the moderate Nazis.

Ummmmmm...

Some of the comments on this are ridiculous and I’m stunned at the lack of understanding of the justice system. The police chief has no control over the pressing of charges, the police chief has no control over sentencing. He’s doing exactly what he can do and exactly what we want all heads of police to do and still
