I don't disagree with the sentiment that buying a used car is, in many ways, more financially responsible than buying a new car.

Counter-post from me coming soon :)

Do you always get your panties in a bunch over bullshit?

I don't know, they won't give us press cars

Honda didn't take bailout money, and claim that it was "Old Honda's" problems

Marussia's reaction to the news.

Uhh… I'd say that rant he gave on the way out the door ("Ferrari is now American") is sort of the textbook definition of leaving in a huff.

The trouble with your theory is you never get out in front of anything. If you buy a car you can afford at a good rate (my last two were 1%), and choose something that historically has low depreciation, you can eventually get ahead.

I suppose there's always that incentive, however I think it's their responsibility to report on the rise in incentives and the risks facing the industry. Also, read any of the articles I linked to and they're cautious but not overtly Pollyanna.

Sorry, but I'd always feel like a chump for buying a $40k Aston - as that's a clear sign I have no business owning an Aston Martin.

and it'll cost you the price of a Toyota Camry every couple of years to keep it running :D

The Camry will actually be affordable to fix and probably even functional most of the time.

OBO? Put me down for $2500.

So by being "cheap and reliable" they aren't competitive?

My friend Doug was unemployed for months. Last month, he made $1,000 in just a few hours! And all he had to do was not drive his Ferrari! You too can learn Doug's secret by clicking, here.________________________________________________________

That's entirely incorrect. Under the same logic, if you finance a car, it's not yours, it's the banks. The car is registered to him. In fact, even if it was a rental, you are wrong. You are paying for the undisrupted use of the vehicle. If the rental company just showed up and took you car without cause, they would be

Just because its a leased car doesn't give any of the dealership employees, from the porter washing the cars to the damn manager, the right to take a customer's car home for the weekend. Bearing in mind that the "extended testing" wasn't even authorized by the customer, now the dealer is in a big pile of shit.

The Silverdome jab was a poor example on my part, but I would like to see consistency from someone if they repeatedly write articles about the differences between Detroit and MetroDetroit, when there's an event that is not in any way in Detroit.

The Pontiac comment is in reference to that, but more so it's an overall theme that Aaron has taken to squeeze out a few extra articles from this feigned outrage about Detroit vs. MetroDetroit. Like this one.

I see what you mean. When my favorite team loses a game it's the ref's fault, but when they win it's because they're really good at playing sports.
