It is well worth it. I've listened to it I think three times, and each time it gets better. It's a long fucking album, but it surprisingly feels pretty tight. I think I prefer it to The Monitor, which is saying a lot.

I've been reading a lot since I've been down here in Mexico; currently, I'm reading Bolaño's The Savage Detectives, and so far I really enjoy it. I also bought 2666 when I was down here, and I hope to start that soon.

It's sad to see so many of these adaptations fail, especially A Series of Unfortunate Events, which I read all the time when I was in school. There are others I really want to see made. I think The House of the Scorpion, as well as The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing could be really good. Problem is, is that the

Upvoted for Titus. Apparently from what I've heard their new album rivals The Monitor as their best album

I think I want rum, whiskey, vodka, so more mixed drinks. But I can't stop people from taking shots with the alcohol provided.

Unfortunately not, I don't think there are any Costcos in Illinois. At least not within 50 miles of my town. The closest we have is a Sam's Club.

Quick question for all you experienced booze drinkers: I'm throwing a party in a few weeks, and because I'm in college, and I'm an asshole (hence my name), I don't have much money. I want kind of a diverse selection of alcohol. So what's the best alcohol I can buy that's relatively inexpensive but not goddamn awful

It took me three tries to get past the first 15 pages of GR. I like it very much, but from what I've read from Underworld, I think I'll like it more

It's that fucking saxophone. Also, anything Phil Spector produced is catchy as hell

I've been in Oaxaca for the past week or so, in order to practice my Spanish. While I love the downtown area so far, my digestive system has been absolutely ruined. I haven't eaten anything in two days

So Mike Huckabee is now a Jesus freak and a pervert. Makes sense

I'm close to finishing Gravity's Rainbow and when I finish that I want to start DeLillo's Underworld.

The first few albums are catchy lo-fi twee pop, short songs, if you like that sort of thing. You Turn Me On is their best, but it abandons that lo-fi style for a more lush production. It has their best songs, in my opinion: "Tiger Trap" and "Godsend"
