If true, that’s unusual - you usually go straight to jail. But I can’t find any evidence she went home after sentencing.

Just because you appeal a case, doesn’t mean you aren’t in prison. In fact, if you were sentenced to jail for a crime, you are USUALLY in prison when you appeal.
