I disagree, ‘latching-on’ implies both an imbalance of power and one party clinging unwanted to the other. It can go both ways, but it didn’t, and a man latching onto a woman paints the man in an equally negative light.

Look, I am not Jewish, so I don’t have any authority to say any more than repeat what I have been told by Jewish friends - but to my mind it seems that overusing the word Nazi is to anti-Semitism what overusing the word 'slave' is to people who have been historically enslaved.

It’s the same sort of hyperbole that uses ‘slavery’ or ‘being a slave’ as a simile - its an insensitive sort of hyperbole that doesn’t need to be used.
