There are some purple-almost-black calla lilies that are really awesome! Purple velvet sounds like some variety of Limonium/Statice.

If you want to try something new, these are some of the common newer “purple” varietals around — there’s also Mentha, which is the closest thing to a true grey I’ve seen! (Blueberry is one of my personal favorites)

Good question! What they have in stock depends on what sells in the area, but most florists get deliveries twice a week (once a week in smaller towns). Sometimes you run out of a flower because a lot of people chose it, or because the delivery you got was bad quality, or the wholesaler forgot part of your order, or…

Lime green is pretty easy to find from most wholesalers, but if you ever want to order yourself the grey roses I’d recommend the cultivar Mentha! There’s also a lot of really beautiful muted roses that have an almost faded photograph feel like Memory Lane and Amnesia.

Please buy more flowers! From a florist, like me! There are so many cool things we can do that aren’t plain grandma bouquet (Even though that’s the most common thing) . And flowers come in sooooo many colors. Lime green and gray roses exist. Carnations come in multicolor. As do Gerber daisies.

That’s actually cool! I’ve probably seen these guys (or their descendants!) on my trips to Skansen/Gröna Lund. It’s a tiny amusement park + zoo + collection of historic buildings with reenactors. I’m not sure why either, but it works!

I just want to know: How on earth did they get from Moscow to Skansen?

That backing of that Kilo Kish track reminds me a lot of Fennesz’s Endless Summer which is a CLASSIC and you should go download it immediately.
