I've had a few problems like this before, instead of opening via the game shortcut or the executable, I opened steam up and ran it through there. That stopped the two things from trying to load up at once and logged in to offline mode for me without any problems. May work for you too if you ever need to again.

There aren't really many characters there that aren't Pixar characters, rather than actual Disney characters. Though I'd still probably play it... I love Pixar.
