CRAP. I'm glad I didn't hear about "Hannibal" yesterday.

I'm old and I didn't know that Burl Ives was a folk singer until I was, like, 40. I thought he was just another actor with a funny voice and facial hair.

I don't ban anything, but I'd rather watch WITH them and answer questions. THIS kid tried to explain "anal beads" to me during a round of Card Against Humanity, so I don't expect many questions from her.

Yesterday afternoon, I brought my 14 year old home and she announced, "Now that it's officially summer I'm gonna binge on prison lesbian drama, mom," as she tuned in OITNB.

I watched "Time Bandits" with my kids for the first time in ages and I was SO PLEASED that it has held up so beautifully. Hooray for classics that stay classic!!

I discovered that my local Goodwill has an EXCELLENT DVD shelf, so I brought home "Brick" for my college kids for a mere $2. They were mesmerized!!
