I will admit to doing this back when I had a Volvo S80 as the next best option to not having a front plate at all. The only reason I wanted the euro plate in the front was aesthetics. The front bumper on the S80 is the exact same height as the euro plate so it blends well with the lines of the car. The U.S. plates,

It’s the equivalent of a food coma and short for “N*****itis”

The 3GT is not considered a 4-door coupe by many (that’s reserved for the 4 Series Gran Coupe), however BMW themselves describe the 3GT as being spacious with “an elegant coupe-like shape”.

As someone else mentioned, X-Drive is fine, even good with what I consider a more predictable and controllable bias, but the suspension setup is worse than the standard suspension, let alone the sport suspension.

People throw hate at leased 320/328s, A3/4s, and the CLA all the time, under the assumption that their owners simply want the badge, so wouldn’t offering a cheaper base C-Class essentially be the same thing? At what point does it flip from “badge whore” to “great value”?

Considering the $44K base price doesn’t include leather or many other goodies, I don’t think there is a ton of room for them to go down. They could remove the HIDs, the auto climate control, the screen (nav is a separate option though) and the proximity key but that’s really all the base model has.

I was down in Chicago with a friend on Valentine’s Day. We were heading north on Lake Shore Drive right around Grant Park and we couldn’t help but notice that the guy driving in front of us had his arm around the passenger headrest and looked VERY relaxed. We also could help but notice the subtle bobbing of a head

They’ve previously stated that they would consider a coupe after they are done updating all of their cars (90/60/40 series). Perhaps that is still in the cards, but it likely won’t exist for at least 5 years unless it’s one of their secret projects they aren’t talking about yet.

I actually really like the first example, with the lower part of the lights removed.

My guess is that it will take on the Cross Country name, as in V90 Cross Country. The XC70 never really fit in with the other XC cars anyway, especially positioned between the XC60 and XC90.

Now playing

For what it’s worth, the S80 V8 with the stock exhaust still sounds pretty surprising for a Volvo....

A lot of the times it’s the curve in the road, at least if you’re around the actual city. For whatever reason, people are incapable of maintaining at least the speed limit through any curve. People either brake because they feel like they have to, or they brake because others are struggling to stay in their lane

Trans issues have absolutely not been on the radar, especially with the general public, as long as gay rights issues have. I’m not sure what would make you think that. The T was ignored even more than the B, in LGBT, for many, many years.

Well no, that isn’t exactly true. It only applies to trans. I was saying that your comment gave the wrong impression to people who aren’t necessarily in the know, but I think you are actually mistaken yourself. When you mention cis-women and then immediately follow that up with the statement that you can be fired for

You’ve never driven anywhere near downtown Milwaukee if you think 2 hour traffic jams occur in any other situation than serious, entire highway closing accidents/incidents.

Wisconsin was the first state to add non-discrimination protection for sexual orientation in employment. Back then, anything trans related wasn’t anywhere near the radar.

Your mention of cis women and being able to fire people based on gender gives the wrong impression. You absolutely cannot fire a cis woman for being a woman as sex discrimination is illegal in the state.

You should be looking at Mercedes as well, as they are the worst offender. At least Audi screens can retract and BMW screens sit in a little indentation area like it was designed for the screen to be there. The screen in the C Class (and others) looks like it was added after the interior was finished.

I don’t understand why anyone with keyless entry and start wouldn’t keep the key in their pocket or purse at all times.

Neither of those are unique features to American cars.
