Interesting. I don’t know if that smell of desperation as much as the 7 remake. Also I wonder if it will play like X or if, like X-2 it will replace every good change to the series added in X with retread garbage from worse FF’s. 

I’d love to see how it would have been if Matsuno was given total creative control but not control over the budget. That said, It still works for me better than most of the later Final Fantasies. The development was troubled and I think Kawazu tied it up fairly well. Kawazu is god.
