We started having them in 1999. After Columbine.

My husband, daughter, and I are recovering from the flu. We all had our flu shots. Apparently it’s a different strain. My son who hasn’t received the vaccine is the only one not to catch the flu. I know that’s just pure luck and not a dig against the vaccine. I’m sure my son will bring this up next year when it’s time

Our Target is being remodeled and it’s great. Almost every section of clothing has its own area. More like a department store setup.

Paul was letting it go grey until he married someone who’s name I’ll never utter. The darker color was a bit abrupt, but I will defend Paul to my dying breath. No pun intended.

After the war, families that had fought for the Union formed enclaves in the hills of Alabama. It was for their own protection. People that hadn’t supported the Confederacy were executed. That’s why so many towns are full of the same families. The town my father is from is basically compromised of relatives and their

This is exactly why I can’t stop shaking my head.

I recently saw a flag on the back of a truck. It was half American flag blending with half of a Confederate flag. It had “Don’t Tread on Me” for a finishing touch. I’ve never seen anything so contradictory in my life. They were literally enemies fighting a war against each other.

I hate this. They have no right to claim to be American soldiers. My great-grandfather and his brothers were American soldiers during the Civil War. They were born in and raised their families in the middle of Alabama. They did the right thing and enlisted with the Union Army- BECAUSE THEY WERE GODDAMN AMERICANS.

Yes. That’s exactly what you do. You secede and take up arms against the United States, you are no longer an American. They created their own separate government. Traitor, Confederate, but absolutely not an American.

When I was four I was in love with Don Johnson. Four year olds are crazy.

I’ve been pretty much recovered for about five years. Watching this movie makes me almost crave to start again. I’m 33 and in the last few years I’ve been diagnosed with diseases that were caused by the long term anorexia and bulimia. I have premalignant esophageal lesions from throwing up. I have osteoporosis from

Same here. We had a “dress like a hippie day” and everyone kept remarking about my costume. That’s what you look like everyday.

Absolutely. We went in depth about how it’s contracted, what cells are involved, and the symptoms. I remember being told you can’t get it from hugs. There was even a coloring book. Coloring happy little T cells.

I feel like we went so much more in depth with subjects in the early 90s. I don’t even remember any sex ed in high school.

We never had the abstinence education. That was at church. When we all had the sex-ed lesson in 5th grade, condoms were discussed with the boys. We were separated to save embarrassment. This was 94-95.

As a child during the epidemic, I remember we had lesson plans about HIV/AIDS in class. We learned all about T cells and how HIV affects the body. It was part of the curriculum. This was way back in the early 90s in a public school in Alabama.

I was just telling my husband that Eddie Vedder is the only one left.

I just saw Cornell on the 6th. He sounded amazing and was talking up the crowd. Said he was planning on playing the venue again.

Same situation. I was the oldest, so I was my mother’s “friend”. I was the mother. For her and my siblings.
