Some people seem strangely angry about it, is what I meant. Lots of comments about how they've tried to get funding for various dream projects and failed, and this guy gets it for potatoes….that sort of thing. Oh internet.

Full disclosure: I actually know the guy and he's super nice-but now the backlash is coming and the internet is a fickle mistress, and I would not trade places with him for a second. People are crazy to blame him for this thing really catching on, and not blame the thousands of supporters throwing money at a potato…

i'm sure he's aware of that-what would you like him to do about it? feed the world with his potato salad?

i would just like to point out that this guy is a grown man who is nearly 30. not a kid, and it's weird that the av club has decided to paint him as a smart ass teen or something. i mean, he's an adult who owns and runs his own business. and has an awesome sense of humor, ha.
