Unfortunately, I think it's just the set-up of my city. I'll need to move, too.

Yes. Handwriting analysis showed it was not the guy or his wife that were accused of doing it, and it looked more like the alleged victim's handwriting.
Yes, and the fact that each one now goes viral and makes the person a ton of money on some gofundme thing makes me extra suspicious. Horrible if it did indeed happen, though.
Ugh, on my drive to work, there is no grass or shoulder. There is a narrow road and then a sidewalk. Full of people. It is horrifying.
I do not have such a laissez faire attitude about other drivers. If one of them spins out, there's a good chance they're gonna hit me.
Oh gosh. We are worry twins. I have driving in bad weather. Losing control of a vehicle is a terrible prospect, and I've hydroplaned in bad rain before. I now live in one of the snowiest cities in the US, so, uh, yay winter!
Because they want young and poor women who do not want to a child to come in so they can talk them out of an abortion. Ugh.
Oh, that's interesting that it's the dumbest thing you have ever heard when it has been widely supported by linguists and educators for decades and decades, and that you have absolutely no real argument about why is is do dumb, just that is obvious is because COMMON SENSE.
Indeed!
Whoa. We're like mirror images of each other. I find Adam Levine very attractive but his music is bad and not even in a good-bad way.
I believe it. It's so weird how everyone assumes they "know" what famous people are actually like. I don't understand the hate.
THANKYOU JEEZ
Haha, yes, I'm one of those. Sorry.
There are indeed many debates within linguistics. I don't know any linguists, though (even the prescriptive ones), who advocate showing off by "correcting" other people's usage all about the internet.
No. You have this one completely backwards. Your adage applies to ethics only. There is nothing unethical about saying "irregardless." The only unethical language is deceptive language, and that deception is often accomplished with supposedly "learned" speech.
I don't like his music, but most of his stuff you say makes him "the worst" is pretty mehmehmeh. He is hella hot and I don't care.
oooo mysterious blank reply
I do mean it sarcastically for reasons of actually knowing the first thing about linguistics, but I'm glad I could make you happy, because I was being kinda mean and I hate meanness so now I can feel like I was being nice.
Yes, if enough people use it, it does mean it's right. That's how language works. Do you speak in Old English? How can so many otherwise educated adults be so utterly clueless about language?
Wow! You are such a brilliant master of the English language! Everyone loves a pedant who thinks their pedantry makes them smart. Please, continue to safeguard standard English. It is no doubt too difficult to just know realize what someone means (when it is very clear) and to not be a fucking asshole.
