I got the first XIV game...and stopped playing quickly. The new XIV is my favorite MMO ever. I have never put so much effort into an mmo like this.

That is you being a resistant reader, not the story "being a mess". Destruction was better than slavery is the gist. Perhaps this could have been fleshed out more but if that makes final fantasy a bad game, the whole series is rubbish

I never understood that argument...as far as final fantasy goes, it is very much together. Final fantasy VII had the iffy "Cloud has two memories" that was not handled well. FF VIII had the "we all knew each other at an orphanage" halfway through the game with someone saying "oh yeah, I didst bring it up cus no one…
