Looking at the rather short list of Peter Parker’s friends I can see why they decided they needed to reach into the wider Spider-verse to find a different friend for Peter.

Honestly I’ve always been completely baffled at the Anne Hathaway hate as well.

I don’t think you can totally dismiss the very long and very ugly history of Hollywood and Asia. It is an issue that just doesn’t go away just as here in the American south the passage of time can’t wash away the taint of slavery and segregation.

Well it is a movie from Paramount. The very same studio that didn’t see a problem with Skids and Mudflap in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Also the studio behind hey George Takei is gay so we should just out of the blue make Mr. Sulu gay three movies into the new Star Trek.

I agree, while I did enjoy the 1995 movie the Ghost in the Shell world is so much larger than just that movie. Seems like you get into the changes of the world better in the series.

Public debate over laws is over flowing with maybe. Here in North Carolina there has been boat loads of maybe over HB2 because there wasn’t cases to support the idea that men were dressing as women to either spy on or sexually assault women in public bathrooms.

Showing my age but way back in 1987 there was a movie called Born in East LA where there is a mix up and Cheech Marin’s character gets deported to Mexico even though he was an American who didn’t speak Spanish or knew the first thing about Mexican culture. Gotham is filmed in New York. There is a cool video where they show how they used CGI to add things to change New York into Gotham City.

When people attack Rotten Tomatoes they have a need to perpetuate a myth that you give up all your free will by using the site. That we only look at the score and go yes my master I will see it because it is certified fresh or we will stay home because the site didn’t say certified fresh.

Ah someone else blaming Rotten Tomatoes instead of saying maybe we should have just made a better film with a wider appeal. It’s little wonder the DC live action films are having trouble when it is always the fault of someone else because the production team couldn’t have done anything wrong.

The problem is if we are looking for racially and sexually enlightened films then we’d have to toss the vast majority of films that Hollywood made. If you know film history then you know the 1933 King Kong only reflected the views that were popular in Hollywood.

It’s something you’d want to fast forward to the action bits because every other part of these movies are a waste of time.

With all the poop emoji merchandise out there how in the world is a smiling poop not one of the options? We all know Americans would vote for a turd.
