Yeah, that’s another one of Kinja’s typical bugs - another is where you star a post and the number of stars is reduced by one. These have been Kinja problems for at least a year a far as I can remember (probably longer than that) and they’ve never been solved.

Is anyone else experiencing a bug where you try to star someone’s comment, but instead it just takes you right to the top of the page without even starring the comment?

Every single design change of the AV Club over the years has made less and less content visible on the homepage. I’m expecting in 5 years the next revision will just have a single article per page surrounded by a halo of ads.

Yeah, that’s what’s making me sad right now. I assumed they’d just shove Kinja into the good looking shell of the AV Club, not transform it into a full-on Gawker site. Sigh.

Disqus actually supports that, but AVC had it disabled. Probably because it’s a super bad idea. Look forward to the right-wing trolls posting pictures of people who have been shot in the face!

Can’t even see review scores without clicking on a review!

Comment #666. Seems appropriate for my first one here.

What is all this “pending” business? I’ve never been to one of these Gizmodo type sites as the layout is so poor. Also, these quotation marks are aggressive.

Load more comments. Load more comments. Load more comments. Load more comments. Boy, this is fucking fun, huh?

Is there a setting where I can load more than, like, five comments at a time? It’s pretty annoying to be constantly hitting the more comments button.

Running Suggestion List

This is not in any way an improvement... I mean... I know y’all have to say that. You have jobs you’d like to keep.

Make site wider. I have what is professionally known as a big ass monitor and it’s cramming all the text in a tiny area on the right half of the screen, while the entire left half of the screen is a blank space. This is bad.

Email john teti at jteti@theonion.com and thank him for doing this to the site while he’s off hosting the project on Fusion he abandoned is for.

I didn’t even try, but then I don’t have an extensive AVC comment history that I care to archive.

Merging my Disqus and Kinja accounts doesn’t work. Also, the site is ugly and soulless, like Gawker. I’m pretty sad about this whole thing. :(

Oh goddammit. I had assumed the layout wouldn’t change to full on Kinja, but I was wrong.

Well, I did the “Claim your account” thing and it took me to a Disqus page, then the browser just closed. Am I verified? I fucking hate this already.

Merging my Disqus account with my existing Kinja account felt a little bit like walking into a teleporter and not knowing whether it would actually be me on the other side.
